Philip Cobb

Hey everyone, my name is Philip Cobb and I am from Rocky Mount, NC. I am a junior here at East Carolina University majoring in Management Information Systems. I currently have no certificates but I am looking into cybersecurity certificates. I am expected to graduate in the Spring of 2026. I intend on going into cybersecurity, project management, or a systems analyst as my career. I have studied python, SQL, and I am currently studying web app design and development and telecommunications and networked systems. I have a lot more to learn to be as successful as I know I can. I have attended a business job/internship fair as well as a STEM job/internship fair last semester.

I am currently in the ECU Ambassadors and the Talented Empowering Aspired Men (T.E.A.M) clubs on campus. These clubs focus on volunteering in the community and on campus. They are also a source of good networking opportunities for me as I meet new people everyday. I am interested in joining more organizations on campus to help with networking as well as many valuable skills that they bring. A fun fact about me is that I am very passionate about basketball which has brought me many great life skills like teamwork, resiliency, confidence, patience, and leadership.
